LIVE PROJECT
The goal was to design a clear and efficient provider experience for teams monitoring patients continuously through biosensors. By bringing patient data and workflows into a single platform to support decision-making, and smoother day-to-day clinical workflows.
Providers depend on continuous patient data to monitor status and make decisions in real time. The platform needed to communicate this data with clarity and precision, ensuring patient states, trends, and signals were easy to interpret without ambiguity.
At the same time, the system had to scale. Clinicians often monitor multiple patients over long periods, which meant the interface needed to remain readable, reliable, and efficient even as data volume and complexity increased.
I focused on three key features of the platform: clear data visualizations that support continuous patient monitoring, a scalable design system that ensures consistency as the product evolves, and a modular structure that enables support for multiple procedures and future monitoring use cases.
Designed a data-first dashboard that surfaces patient status, trends, and alerts at a glance. Clear visual hierarchy and state indicators help clinicians quickly assess conditions, review continuous data streams, and identify patients that require attention.
Built a scalable design system to ensure consistency across complex workflows and data-dense screens. Reusable components, clear states, and standardized patterns helped the platform grow while maintaining clarity, accessibility, and visual coherence.
The platform was structured modularly so core workflows, components, and data patterns could be reused across different monitoring procedures. This made it possible to support multiparameter monitoring, MCT, and Holter procedures within the same system, without redesigning the experience each time.
By separating procedure-specific logic from shared foundations, the platform could scale as new monitoring capabilities were added, while keeping the provider experience familiar, predictable, and easy to navigate.
The provider platform enabled clinicians to monitor patients continuously through biosensors, review data in real time, and manage multiple procedures through a single, unified system.
